In the past, E has held the positions of Vice President, Director, Safety Officer, and Fire Police.

President Emeritus E. James Monihan held many offices with the Lewes FD including President, VP, and Asst. Chief. Jim also was a Past President of the Delaware Volunteer Firemen's Association and Past President of the National Volunteer Fire Council. Jim was known WORLD WIDE as a leader in the volunteer fire service.
