House Fire - Lewes-Georgetown Highway

June 11, 2012

On Monday June 11, 2012 approximately 1131 hours, The Lewes, Milton, Rehoboth Beach Fire Departments, and EMS 100 were dispatched to a structure fire on Lewes-Georgetown Highway ITAO of Arabian Acres. Upon the arrival of OIC Henry Baynum, heavy smoke was showing from the roof area. At this time the Indian River Fire Company was also dispatched to the scene. Upon the arrival of Engine 82-3, two 1" 3/4 quarter hand lines were put in service for the initial fire attack. Heavy smoke and fire was encountered upon entering the residence. Crews performed fire extinguishment, ventilation, and overhaul. Crews remained on scene until approximately 1325 hours. No injures were reported.
