Late Monday morning 82, 85 & 86 were dispatched to a reported working structure fire on Gills Neck Road. 82-3 with Assistant Chief Wally Evans arrived first on scene reporting smoke from the roof and attic area.. The fire was quickly contained to the attic area and brought under control with manpower assistance from stations 70, 77, 80, 85, & 86. The fire was believed to have been started by a painter removing old paint with a heat gun. Fire Marshall Magee is investigating the scene.
