0549 this morning Lewes FD assisted by Rehoboth Beach, Milton, and Indian River FD's responded to a reported working structure fire on East 4th Street in downtown Lewes. Engine 1 was firs due with Past Chief Davis in command and laid in. Fire was in the area of the fireplace on the D side and was running up the exterior wall with fire extension into the walls on the inside of the room. Ladder82 had FDS and Engine 2 arrived and charged

the plug. Crews made aggressive attacks on the exterior and interior. Fire was knocked quickly with extensive overhaul. Great job by all especially with the weather conditions and 10 degree temperature. FM is investigating.
