Lewes Fires Department members Jason Stadler, Aiden Gause and Trevor Fiest participated in the Tunnel to Towers 5k.  It actually was 3.43 miles in honor of the 343 FDNY firemen who died on 9/11/01.  They ran the event in full turnout gear and SCBA.  The tunnel to towers foundation was founded in honor of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller who on Sept 11th was stuck in traffic trying to get to the world trade center. He then ran on foot in his turn out gear from the battery tunnel to the World trade Center where he died in the line of duty.
