On January 20, 2021, Lewes Fire Department held an evening of vehicle rescue training for its members. Also attending were members from Milton Fire Department (85) and two paramedics from Sussex County EMS (SCEMS).
Training was broken into three groups: members with no vehicle rescue experience; those with basic vehicle rescue experience; and those with advanced vehicle rescue experience. By doing this, all members in attendence were able to receive training relative to their skills and provide challenges that would help advance their training.
The training was well attended and all participants were able to practice real-life "hands-on" training to keep up their proficiency in this critical skill. LFD was happy to have Milton and SCEMS participate with us, and we look forward to more training with them in future sessions!
