At approximately 8:30 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2019, Lewes FD was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the Home Depot parking lot on Coastal Highway. Upon arrival, units found a tractor-trailer with smoke coming from the cab. Firefighters pulled a handline and made entry to the cab, and had the fire under control within 10 minutes. Units responding to the scene included Engine 82-1, Rescue 82, Ambulance D-82, Command 82-8, and Fire Police.
