On March 6, 2018, at approximately 9:30 PM, Lewes FD was dispatched to a transformer explosion and fire in the area of Lewes Beach.  Arriving units found that a transformer had fallen off of a pole and was still on fire.  Units could not extinguish the fire until Lewes Power arrived on the scene to disconnect the electricity.  No injuries were reported.  Responding units included Brush 82-0, Brush 82-10, Ambulance D-82, Command 82-8, and Fire Police.
