Lewes assists Station 80 on a Structure Fire
Sat, Dec 16, 2017

During the early morning hours of Saturday December 16, 2017 while members were staffing the Firehouse at 01:15am, Indian River, Lewes and Millsboro Fire Departments along with Ambulance 91 and Medic 106 were dispatched for a reported Structure Fire at 35222 Bay Breeze Lane in the Rehoboth Shores Development.  While enroute to the scene units were advised that there was a fire in the back bedroom in the ceiling.  Units arrived and found a single wide mobile home with nothing evident from the exterior and began to investigate. Crews were able to find the source of the fire which ended up being an electrical fire in the ceiling fan in the rear bedroom and once the electric was secured crews wet down the ceiling with a water can.  Good work by all that responded and the brotherhood remains strong.
