Structure Fire on Maplewood Drive in Lochwood Dev.

14:37 Lewes Fire Department units, assisted by Rehoboth Beach, & Indian River along with Sussex County EMS responded to Maplewood Drive in the Lochwood development for a reported working house fire.  Indian River's Engine from the Long Neck station arrived first and assumed the first due engine assignment deploying a handline and checking for extension. The fire was quickly knocked down and held to Lewes Engines 82-9 and 82-5, Indian River's Engine 80-3, and Tanker 86. Other responding units were diverted to a 2nd reported fire in Lewes’ district in the Midway area, which turned out to be mulch. Units also responded to and assisted with a MVC on Route 24 & Robinsonville Rd. during the alarms.
