William T. Lowe 1999

William "Bill" Lowe was a 50 year member of the Lewes Fire Department serving our department in multiple capacities throughout his Volunteer Career, but his most notable contribution to our Department was serving as Assistant Engineer for several years and then serving as the department's Chief Engineer on 11 different occasions 1956-1961, 1964, 1967-1968 and 1981-1982. 

Chief Engineer Lowe is the only Lewes Fire Department member to be bestowed the title of Chief Engineer Emeritus in the departments 223 year history.
