Between September - November 2017 Lewes Volunteer Fire Department provided Fire/EMS coverage for the Cape Henlopen High School Football Team during their 2017 Season home games, the Department has been providing these services for a couple of years now and it is one of many ways the Lewes Fire Department gives back to the Community who support the Lewes Fire Department 12 months a year, 24/7 365. Members take time out of their busy schedules to provide coverage. The Cape Henlopen High School and School District are very supportive of the Lewes Fire Department and everything the department does and they are very thankful for the services the department provides them during the football season and the yearly graduation.
