In the past, Louis has held the positions of Fire Chief, President, 1st Assistant Chief, 2nd Assistant Chief, and Engine Captain.

Lou was Fire Chief in the 70's and 80's and was the President for many years, holding that office at the time of his death. He held many other elected and appointed offices thru the years. He was also a Past President of the Delmarva Firemen's Association. He was Killed in the Line of Duty in a motor vehicle collision while enroute to a meeting.
