***Update 5/17/17*** Jake has been discharged from the hospital! Thank you for all of the support and prayers they are greatly appreciated.

 

***Update 4/24/17*** Jake is progressing in his recovery and is scheduled to have another sugery today. Please keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming!

***4/20/17 Update*** Jake continues to remain strong and make strides during his recovery. The Slater family greatly appreciates all of the community support and remain with Jake. Please continue to keep Jake and the Slater family in your thoughts and prayers. 

***4/10/17 Update*** Jake continues his efforts in recovery but suffered a set back yesterday. He still remains in critical condition. Please continue to keep Jake and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Lewes Fire Department will provide updates here and on our Facebook page as the family provides them. ***UPDATE***Jake has successfully undergone 3 surgeries and is schedule for a fourth Wednesday, he remains in critical condition and continues to need your thoughts and prayers. The family and department are extremely grateful for the amazing show of support from the community. We will provide updates regularly on Jakes condition and any fundraising efforts.  

 

Jake was involved in a work accident and suffered serious burns. He was initially seen at Beebe Healthcare and later flown to John Hopkins Bayview. Jake has a long hard recovery in front of him so please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We will provide updates throughout his recovery. The family and Lewes Fire Department thank everyone that has already reached out in support.
