On March 31st Lewes as well as Milton & Indian River fire departments, along with a few other fire departments members, participated in training burn evolutions. The house was located on Fisher Rd. in the Coolsprings area.
The Burn crew of experienced Officers and Firefighters following NFPA 1403 standard, held 14 burns varying from floor to floor.
As additional training the residence was control burned to end the day.
A total of over 50 people turned out for the training, 35 from Lewes. Apparatus were Lewes Engines 1, 9, Tanker 4, Ladder82, Command82, Amb82, Utility12, and Brush 0, Milton's Engine2 & Tanker1, and Indian River's Rescue.
Thank you to Slaughter Beach and Rehoboth Beach for stand by assignments and our Fire Police for traffic control and Auxiliary for proving food and drinks.
