Duty Crew, Training, and Brush Fire

On Friday, April 6, 2018, members of Lewes Fire Department held their weekly duty crew and training session.  The training for the evening involved review of operations when laying out from a hydrant and connecting to a fire department connection.  During the training, LFD was dispatched to a brush fire in The Reserve subdivision.  Responding crews found a large area of brush on fire.  The fire was quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported.  Responding apparatus included Engines 82-1 and 82-9; Tanker 82-4; Brush 82-0 and 82-10; Command 82-8; Ambulance D-82; and fire police.
