Lewes Responds to mutipule calls throughout the day

On Thursday Feb. 9th Lewes started out early being dispatched to an vehicle accident with a single vehicle into a guard rail. Returning from the incident units were alerted for an automatic alarm at Shields Elementary School. Shortly after lunch units were alerted to a MVC at the intersection of Beaver Dam Rd. and Hollymount Rd.  Units arrived to find two vehicles in the roadway. Around 16:30 units were alerted for a service call for a tree into a house. Engine 9 arrived to find a 40ft tree had blown over into a ranch style home. Units checked for damage to the house and utilities.  While clearing units were alerted to an automatic alarm at Home Depot on Coastal highway.  Brush 10 and Engine 5 arrived to find a low pressure alarm in the sprinkler system.  Members had a planned training that evening for identifying different types of building construction. After the classroom sessions, units toured the district stopping at various building to go over types of construction.  Busy day for the members of Lewes.
