At approximately 16:39hrs Lewes fire units were clearing a medical assist when they were alerted for the house on fire. Units made a rapid response and 82-2 arrived on the scene of a single story, single family dwelling with fire showing from the alpha and bravo sides. Engine 82-2 assumed the first due engine responsibilities placing an 1 3/4" handline in service through the front door and a quick knockdown of the fire filled dwelling was made.  Engine 82-5 arrived shortly after Engine 2 and went in service as the first due special performing a quick search of the dwelling. A cat was found in the early stages of the search and was happily returned to its owner. Units from Rehoboth Fire Company, Milton Fire Department and Sussex County EMS assisted Lewes with the Fire. The scene is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office. Many thanks to all of the assisting agencies.
