On Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd, The Lewes Fire Department hosted Traditions Training for a Commercial Truck Company Operations Drill. Departments from around the fire district were invited to bring their truck companies and participate in this joint training venture. Traditions Training conducted drills involving roll up doors, forcible entry, and commercial roof operations. Members battled downpours on Saturday and high wind gusts on Sunday during the training event in return for top notch drills and the opportunity to pick up new habits on the fireground. All in all including Lewes Fire Department 4 fire departments participated in the drill and brought apparatus, while still more firefighters from other departments attended on their own. A special thanks goes out to the Lewes Auxillary for providing lunch during the training, and of course a huge thanks to the instructors from Traditions Training for putting on a second to none class.
