Lewes Units Respond for Reported Building Fire

Tuesday, 3/29/16, around 0900 hrs the Lewes Fire Department was alerted to a reported building fire along Anglers Road in Lewes. Also due on the box alarm was the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, the Milton FIre Department, and Sussex County EMS. Lewes Police units responding to the call as well advised of strong black smoke pushing from what appeared to be the building's side closest to the pool deck. Engine 82-5 arrived soon thereafter to confirm that smoke was showing from the Bravo side of the building. Engine 82-5 secured their own water supply and deployed a 300 foot attack line to side Bravo where they found a small fire involving two rooms stacked over each other. The fire was quickly contained and crews from other apparatus assisted in overhaul and extention investigation. Milton Fire was diverted to coverup the district. No injuries were reported by civilians or fire service personnel.
