For the second time in 3 days Lewes Fire Department assisted by Rehoboth Beach, Milton, and Medic 104 responded to a working attic fire, this time on McFee Street in Lewes.  The fire was in the chimney area, and again Lewes made an aggressive attack and quickly contained most of the damage to the attic area.  Mutual aid companies filled cover assignments at Lewes stations.  This incident occurred right at the end of the Lewes Christmas Parade and traffic was tied up around Lewes for most of the evening as hoses blocked Savannah Road.  State Fire Marshall's office is investigating the cause, no damage estimates at this time.
