Motor Vehicle Crash With Extrication

The Lewes Fire Department was dispatched @ 0839 for an MVC with entrapment reported on Harbeson Rd at Cool Spring Rd. Upon the arrival of the responding units, entrapment of 2 victims was confirmed in a SUV on its side. Fire Chief Troy Virden (82-15) arrived and assumed command of the incident assigning stabilization and extrication to the crews of 82-5, R-82, & 82-9. The vehicle on its side was stabilized and the roof was removed from the vehicle to extricate the 2 victims. The victims were transferred to EMS and transported by Lewes ambulances to BMC.
