Lewes Members Train on RIT Procedures and SCBA Management - Lewes Station 1
Mon, Feb 11, 2013
On Monday February 11, 2013, 19 Lewes Fire Department Members participated with training on Lewes RIT Procedures and SCBA Management Techniques. The course began with a review of Lewes RIT SOGs, Procedures, & Equipment. The members participating were broken down into crews and challenged with quickly setting up a RIT Equipment Staging Area. Next, the members reviewed various techniques of air management for a downed firefighter including using a Trans Fill Kit to a Universal Air Connection (UAC) and placing a face piece on an unconscious downed firefighter. The training concluded with the members converting the SCBA of a downed firefighter to a 3-point harness and the use of various drag devices and drag techniques. Great job and thank you to all members participating with the training exercise!
