Lewes Members Train With a Flowing Grain Simulator - Lewes Fire Department, Station 1
Wed, Feb 6, 2013
Mike Love from the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension Program brought a Flowing Grain Simulator on loan from Pennsylvania to Lewes to train Lewes Fire Department Members in grain silo safety and basic rescue awareness. 21 Lewes Members were present to observe and learn the hazards of grain/feed storage containers of various sizes and shapes and what can happen to a civilian or rescuer if they become partially or fully engulfed in the product. The Lewes Fire Department, Inc. would like to thank Mike Love for bringing the simulator and instructing the program.
