Two vehicle rear end collision - Lewes-Georgetown Highway W/O Arabian Acres Road

On Sunday November 18, 2012, at approximately 1749 hours, the Lewes Fire Department and paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival of Deputy Chief Virden, it was determined that two vehicles were involved in a rear end collision. Two patients were back boarded and collared then transported BLS to Beebe Medical Center. Vehicle stablization was performed along with debris and fluid clean up. Traffic on Lewes-Georgetown Highway was shut down and diverted around the accident scene. Fire apparatus was placed in service at 1819 hours. Fire Police remained on scene assisting DSP until 1834 hours.
Units on scene: Fire Chief's Vehicle, Engine 82-9, Rescue 82, Ambulances A, C, & D 82, DSFP and DSP. Paramedic 104 was cancelled prior to their arrival.
