On Tuesday November 6, 2012, at approximately 0803 hours, the Lewes Fire Department, Paramedics, and Trooper 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with a vehicle into a residence, reported subject trapped. Upon the arrival, it was determined that a single vehicle had struck a utility pole, continued through grass, up an embankment, and into a residence. One patient self extricated and was transported BLS to Beebe Medical Center. No one inside the residence was hurt. Crews performed debris clean up and traffic control. Once the vehicle was removed from the residence, it was determined that the residence was safe to re-enter. All fire apparatus was placed in service at approximately 0839 hours.
Units on scene: Command 82, Engine 82-5, Rescue 82, Ambulances A & D 82, Ambulance 91 with half of 106, DSFP, LPD, and DSP. Engine 82-9, Paramedic 100 & 104 along with Trooper 2 were cancelled prior to their arrival.
