On Friday October 12, 2012, at approximately 1400 hours, The Mid-Atlantic Fire Commissioners arrived at the Lewes Fire Department Boat Dock for a tour of the Delaware Bay.  Fire commissioners were loaded onto A Delaware River & Bay Pilot Boat and Lewes 82 Marine 1.  The boats went out approximately one mile off of the Roosevelt Inlet and watched a helicopter demo put on by the DART Team and DSP Aviation. Several rescues were done from the water with the commissioners observing from their respective boats. Once the demo was over, the Commissioners were then taken to the Delaware Breakwater Inner Wall and then back to the dock.
