Fatal MVC involving motorcycle - Coastal Highway ITAO Bay Crossing

On Monday August 13, 2012, at approximately 2022 hours, the Lewes Fire Department, Paramedics, and Trooper 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. While units were responding, EOC advised OIC Asst. Chief Woody Magee that there were two priority one patients in the roadway. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a motorcycle versus a car with two priority patients. Both patients were transported ALS to Beebe. Northbound traffic was completely shut down until after the DSP FAIR Team conducted their investigation. The incident was placed under control at approximately 2051 hours; however, command remained on scene until 2208 hours. Fire Police remained on scene assisting DSP until approximately 2322 hours.
