Fri, Jun 1, 2012
On Friday June 1, 2012 at approximately 1425 hours, The Lewes Fire Department, Medic 104, and Delaware Trooper 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Kings Highway. Upon arrival, Fire Chief Wally Evans advised EOC of a two vehicle T-bone accident with one vehicle positioned on its side. OIC Evans assumed command. It was determined that all occupants of both vehicles had been able to self extricate themselves. Once the patients had been assessed, it was determined that Delaware Trooper 2 could cancel their response. Two patients were transported BLS to Beebe Medical Center. Crew members performed fluid and debris clean up. Fire Police detoured traffic down Clay Road and stopped all traffic from going eastbound on Kings Highway. All fire apparatus and Fire Police were cleared from the scene by 1520 hours. Units on scene: Utility 82 with 82-15, Engine 82-5, Rescue 82, C-82 & D-82, Medic 104, DSP, LPD, and DSFP.
