Vehicle Fire - Lewes-Georgetown Highway

Lewes Fire Department was dispatched at 0739 for a vehicle fire in the area of Sussex East. During response Sussex County EOC provided advised that the vehicle was on the shoulder and fully involved. Engine 82-5 was the first arriving apparatus with Deputy Chief Steve Evans assuming command. A single hand line was able to extinguish the fire. Lewes Fire Police and Delaware State Police closed the road until the fire was controlled. Deputy Chief Evans placed the scene under control at 0759. Apparatus on scene E82-5, E82-4, command 82, and B82.
