On 2/2/08 Engine 82-3 with a crew of 8 under the command of Lt. Fitzgerald stood by at rehoboth beach station 1 while their members attended their annual ladies night and awards banquet. The engine crew arrived at station 86 at 1700 hours. The crew trained on hydrant layout procedures for the younger members of the crew. The crew went on a call for a rescue at the outlets. The arrived on scene to find a child stuck in a shopping cart. Crews extricated the child and returned to service shortly after. At 2200 hours Engine 82-3 Returned to Lewes.
