Structure Fire - U S Life Saving Station Historical Building
Thu, Jun 8, 2006
At 1021hrs Lewes, Rehoboth, and Milton Fire Departments were dispatched to a structure fire near the boat ramp on Pilottown Rd in Lewes. Engine 82-3 was first arriving with Officer 82-23 Captain Steve Evans, who took command. A small fire in the wall was exinguished quickly and mutual aid companies werre returned. Early discovery of this fire by a passing fishing boat saved a very historic structure with artifacts and boats inside.
