LFD members trained using new models of breathing apparatus in order to test their merits for future purchase and upgrades of our current SCBA units. Throughout the month of March members will be wearing both MSA G1 and Scott 5.5 air packs side by side to determine which models will better serve the department. Members have participated in numerous live burns and will continue to do so until a clear consensus can be given to our "wear-test" group to select the brand we go with for our SCBA replacement plan overall.
