The Lewes Fire Dept., Inc. provides emergency medical services for the Town of Lewes and surrounding areas, including Cape Henlopen State Park, Cape May - Lewes Ferry. We currently staff our units with 6 career NREMT-Bs who work in shifts of two during the day and one at night. The night shift is complimented with volunteer NREMT-Bs. We will be changing this schedule in the near future to a minimum of 8 career NREMT-B which will provide career staff for EMS 24/7. Additional emergencies will then be handled by our volunteers. This change is driven by the enormous growth in our area and rising number of EMS calls.

We seek to serve you at your time of need with the best trained staff and best up to date equipment possible.
